The ‘floor’ of the open fronted part of the shed is now covered in basalt derived road base...no more muddy, sandy, dusty filth for me!

Kinja'd!!!

Might get around to fixing the wheel bearings on that tractor now...

If you’re gonna make it more comfortable to lie down, why not put mattresses all over the floor...

Also... can you weld a flat sheet of metal to that cross bar... you know.. for down force?

That many mattresses could get pricey. Besides there’s only me doing the lying down so one should be enough.

The problem with welding anything to the ROPS is that, one day, I might be unlucky enough to end up underneath what I've welded to it. So, yeah I could...but I'm not going to...

I have established that the jack can lift the tractor. Thinking I might be able to position the hub so that not much lifting is involved.

Mind you...the jacking exposed another mechanical issue...

Kinja'd!!!

That gap between the spindle that carries the hub and the axle carrier shouldn’t be there. And I'm fairly sure that hole should have a grease nipple in it. Oh  well...

hmm. good points all around.

In that case, put some pep boys stickers on it.... maybe some racing stripes.... spinner hub caps..... something!

World is ending and your tractor is slow looking

I’m hearing you. It could do with a tizzy up. However, it does look slow and it certainly is slow but when you are in 3rd gear high range with the throttle wide open on a property track with no windscreen, no seatbelt, no suspension and indifferent steering...it doesn’t feel as slow as it should .

I remember back when I was a kid, I would use a sled to go down a hill in the winter.... it went a lot faster than I was comfortable with....

When walking uphill, seeing other kids sliding down..... wasn’t as fast.

Given I have ended up in the bushes in this thing...that is a perfectly good  analogy.
